What is the program about?

Our treatment is called "AURICULOTERAPHY," or treatment of the ear. We place a small magnet in 
specific parts of the ear in order to use the meridian points of the body to control your hunger, your
stress, your cravings, increase you metabolism, etc. At the same time we give you a nutritional guide
wich you follow during the week. It is a weekly program.

Is it the same as acupuncture?

NO. Acupuncture uses very fine needles which penetrate the skin to stimulate the meridian points of the
whole body, with a duration of 10-15 minutes per session.  Our treatment uses "acupressure" which
stimulates the SAME points (only the one located on the ear) superfitialy and without penetrating the
skin. Our magnets will stay on your ear with a small bandaid (skin color) which will stimulate the points to
help you during a period of 7-9 days at a time.


How long is the treatment, how much can I lose?

The process of losing weight is determine by several factors, such as age, height, sex,
how much and for how long has the person being overweight. The duration of the treatment it is
determine by the amount of weight each patient would like to lose.  An average of what our patients
lose is 3-5 pounds (2 kilograms) per week and 12-15 pounds ( 6 kilograms)  per month.

It is only for women?

NO. Our treatment is for both men and women. Our treatment is for the WHOLE FAMILY.

How old do I need to be to start?

The minimum age requirement is 6 years old.

Can I go under treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

A pregnant woman or one who is breastfeeding, should maintain a nutritional regimen focus of the
child and her needs.  During pregnancy you should follow a balance diet that includes all food groups. 
The calorie requirement varies during the pregnancy. During the first trimester if you weight is close to
your ideal weight you will not need any additional calories, in general during the second and third
trimester the amount of calorie consumption should increase by 300-500 calories a day. We recomend you
to wait the last weeks of breastfeeding to start our treatment.

Do I need to take medication?

NO. Our treatment is 100% natural, meaning that you do not have to take any pills that could cause you to
have secondary effects.

Once I finish, will I gain the weight back?

Once you have reach your goal weight, we will give you a stabilization guide in order to teach you
how to eat healthy with proportion so you won't gain the weight back.

Does it hurt?

NO. The magnets will make a SUPERFICIAL stimulation of the meridian points without penetrating the skin
and without causing any pain or discomfort.

What color are they?

The magnets are SKIN color, so they will be barely noticable.

What do I need to eat?

The food guide you will follow will be determine during your visit. We have several ones, which are also
modified according to your needs.
